Crash & Burn I (Space Race Drawings) , charcoal on paper, © Pip Dickens
Currently in the touring exhibition 'Toward the Light by Pip Dickens'

Marking the 40th Anniversary of the Moon Landing - these drawings take a more cynical stance referring to the 'Space Race'. Silver birch trees yearn for the moon they endeavour to 'lift off', some come crashing down to Earth, resulting in fall out.. Trees are rooted in earth, the moon orbits space.
