The outer edges of the painting , or cinematic
'letterbox', are painted in a battleship
grey. The ‘image’ held within the letterbox
is of outer space and alludes to the 'Universal
Pictures' cinema logo (except the world is
missing from it as is the text). The atmosphere
is filled with detritus: bent staples, chunks
of wood, coloured fibres, plastic and dried
paint particles. |
